We were given this piece of art as an inspiration to tickle our minds.
When I first saw this video, I reacted, "hey! It's Japanese!" But at the back of my head, there is this little voice saying something - language barrier. Even though they were good - in terms of music quality - there was this little flaw. Like in photography, no matter how enthusiastic you are, if you don't understand composition, you won't know whether the shot is good or bad.
Tracing back to the ancient times, the world once had a universal language. This story is about the Tower of Babylon. People were so curious, they created a tower to reach the heavens, to reach God. As God would not allow such irrational act, he decided to create different languages so that the people way back then would not understand each other, which leads to the annihilation of the Tower of Babylon. Why did God do that? I do not really question God's actions but this one is a major thing that broke the harmony of humanity. Language settled humans into a long era of war - war between nations. Language variations comes in a lot of packages which has a mini box of culture. Misinterpretations of cultures leads to racism. And racism lits a huge uproar. If we only had one language, maybe we only had one culture. There would be no war. All nations understand each other.
To sum up, it's as if we can do something about this, except learn the self-proclaimed universal language, that is English. And here is my message to all non-speaking creatures:
